Details: Major Projects Canberra (MPC) is seeking a highly experienced and suitably skilled leader to join the Directorate as the Executive Group Manager, Portfolio and Program Management.

Reporting to the Director-General and Chief Engineer, the Executive Group ManagerPortfolio and Program Management supports Major Projects Canberra in the delivery of leadership and strategic advice on infrastructure planning and delivery. The Executive Group ManagerPortfolio and Program Management also assists the Chief Engineer by supporting coordination and advocacy for engineering excellence across the ACT to ensure the ACT Government has the relevant engineering skills to deliver high quality engineering outcomes for the Territory. The nature of the role requires significant collaboration across the service as well as engagement with profession and industry bodies.
As the Executive Group ManagerPortfolio and Program Management, the position is responsible for providing valuable technical and strategic advice support the delivery of the Government’s Infrastructure Plan, while championing digital transformation and sustainability in the infrastructure sector.
Additionally, the Executive Group Manager portfolio and Program Management provides leadership, oversight and delivery of complex programs of work, as allocated by the government as the responsibility of Major Projects Canberra.
Qualifications / Requirements
Over 10 years previous executive level experience working in infrastructure delivery and strategic senior executive roles across the public and private sectors would be highly regarded.
Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $336,019 - $349,479 depending on the current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $299,120.
Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
