IPA are partnering with a federal government agency responsible for scientific research for The Commonwealth. They are currently looking for a Facilities Officer to be based in Kintore (University of Adelaide) & Waite. This role is initially set as an 11-month temp assignment, with the possibility for extension. The successful applicant will be required to work 37.5hrs per week and will need to show flexibility to work form the client’s office's 5 days per week. This role offers $45-$55ph, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand on your public sector experience within facilities management.
This role is working for one of the government agencies Business and Infrastructure Service Units, and the responsibilities of the role will be to monitor and coordinate programs, reactive and project works performed by contractors and consultants to ensure their delivery is in accordance with specifications and contract conditions and complies with Service Level Agreements with Business Units.
Key Responsibilities for this position:
- Liaise with clients to provide timely responsive customer service, effective communications to achieve a high level of client satisfaction, addressing issues promptly and constructively and using sound judgement when dealing with ambiguity.
- Communicate with all staff, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain relationships and team performance.
- Supervise on-site delivery of works related to facilities management including repairs, maintenance, new installations, and provision of soft services.
- Coordinate and monitor works at all stages through to completion to achieve a high standard of service.
- Operate security and access systems to maintain effective site security.
- Collect and maintain accurate information about assets including buildings, plant, and infrastructure.
- Work with various HSE advisors and other stakeholders to implement safety, security, amenity, and aesthetic improvements to site facilities.
- Monitor compliance.
There may be the requirement to participate in an afterhours on-call roster and emergency response requirement for the sites.
