Facilities Officer - Caboolture Waste Management Facility

• Permanent Full Time
• $83,879pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
  Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 4 of the EBA5
• 9 day fortnight
• 72.5 hour fortnight
• Any 5 days in 7 roster (includes weekend days)
• Location: Caboolture Waste Management Facility 

About our opportunity

Based at our Caboolture Waste Management Facility, as the Facilities Officer - Waste you'll be providing technical advice and support and contributing to the effective and efficient operations of the waste facility, and Waste Management programs and services as well as:

• being a key point of contact for team members in the day to day operations and service delivery of a large scale, complex Waste Management Facility
• implementing and coordinating technical  improvement projects related to waste disposal and resource recovery 
• developing and reviewing the department’s operational procedures, manuals, and work instructions
• ensuring site compliance with relevant legislation, approved standards, policies and procedures
• preparing reports, correspondence and associated admin
• undertaking environmental health and safety and contractor compliance audits, and awareness training programs.

This position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours. The repeating roster covers a 9 day fortnight, included a mix of week and weekend days, and includes 2 consecutive non-work days each week.

About you

Bring your well developed experience in Waste Management facilities and transfer station operations to this role, as well as:

• great online research skills and be comfortable analysing information and incident investigations
• a track record of great project management and time management skills. 
• skills in building high quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and work constructively and efficiently as part of a broader Waste Services team
• C class driver's license (required)
• Construction Induction Card (or be willing to obtain at own expense prior to commencement)
• Tertiary qualification in Waste Management, environmental health/science, occupational health and safety or other relevant field, or have relevant experience in lieu of the qualification.
