About the role:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with greater than two years of acute nursing experience and an interest in Cancer Nursing for the Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse position.
The Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse at GV Health will work in partnership with both internal and external health care providers in order to optimally manage the needs of lung cancer patients within the GV Health Catchment. This will include care in both the public and private sectors and across the entire disease trajectory.
The Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse will be a primary resource for both internal and external providers and will deliver education and instigate quality improvement activities. The incumbent will work in partnership to explore, develop and implement evidence-based and patient-focused model of care and pathways that are relevant and appropriate improvements on current practice.
Successful candidate will have:
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- More than two years’ recent experience as an RN at the time of commencement, with experience in cancer nursing or respiratory nursing
- Demonstrated teamwork and the maintenance of a supportive work environment
- Self-motivated with a sound level of communication, organisational and time management skills
Desirable criteria:
- Experience in Cancer Nursing.
- Post-Graduate qualification in Cancer Nursing
