Facilities Program Manager

Our Large Federal Government client has a requirement for a Facilities Program Manager who will support facility growth under a national program. The role is responsible for the program management and delivery of facilities projects and will interact with a diverse range of senior stakeholders. Advanced business judgement will be required in managing competing priorities across the portfolio of projects overseen by the role. Representation and communication of the scope and nature of program activities is also a core function of this role. This position requires significant program management experience as well as highly-developed general management skills.

Skills and Knowledge:

1. Proven experience in successfully delivering large and complex facilities projects, along with proven experience managing complex contracts.
2. Extensive understanding of our client’s procurement policy, procedures and regulations

Major Responsibilities:

1. Achieve Facilities Program deliverables in accordance with approved scope and budget through the application of expert program management skills.
2. Manage program implementation including all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to its administration including reporting, budget development and monitoring, financial transactions, execution of project plans, and performance
3. Plan and manage budget phasings while managing procurements in a timeframe supporting wider program requirements. Conduct tender management and procurement.
4. Develop and obtain approval for key program documentation including, but not limited to, Plan/Proposals, Stage Plans, and Completion Reports.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: Not exceeding 31 October 2025
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 6.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
