AddressAlder Group proudly celebrated 20 years in 2023 - We are excited to announce that our team is growing, and we are looking for a local Facilities Staff member for our newly acquired Bowen Marina project, based in the beautiful Whitsundays town of Bowen, QLD.
Bowen Marina comprises of 22 marina berths and industrial/commercial land-based tenancies. Due to Alder recently acquiring this asset, a new role has become available, and we are looking for a Facilities Staff to ensure the smooth running and upkeep of the Bowen Marina.
The position would require someone to be available onsite 5 days per week part-time, and the successful candidate will need to be contactable 24 hours – 7 days a week. This would be for any immediate issues which then need to be resolved within a reasonable time period.
About the role
Facilities management of the Bowen Marina for the Alder Group, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring boat berth vacancy is advertised in online locations and answer to any enquiries
- Taking bookings for boat berths and discharging tenants at the completion of the berth lease term
- Onboarding of new tenants whether that be for the marina or commercial tenancies
- Providing boat berth tenants with keys for Bowen Marina facilities
- Ensuring the maintenance and repair of the facility are in good order which includes meeting service contractors, if required.
- Take a boat mooring and maintenance log daily (weekdays only) and report back to the property manager
- Ensuring boat berth tenants use the correct facilities and do not cause damage to the facilities through misuse or abuse.
- Ensuring land-based tenants use their premises, and only their premises for the intended use
- Monitor and manage car parking in accordance with Alder approved car parking plans
- Maintain marina appearance to a high standard and quality
- Keep a close eye on the security and CCTV of the property
- Be available in the event of a major weather event or emergency and report it back to the property/assist with any urgent tasks
- Provide a monthly report on boat berthing and leasing in the format provided by Alder Developments
About you – Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Caretaker/ facilities manager in a relevant position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills
- Good analytical/critical thinking skills
- Practical skills around supporting a marina facility or alike
