About the opportunity
The Facility Support person will assist in the maintenance of the facility along with feeding animals, cleaning cages and other duties as required.
Duties
- Operating high-pressure cleaner/washing
- Scraping of boxes
- Feeding of animals
- Working in areas with animals, cage washing, assisting with feeding duties
- A combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience, preferably in the animal or biomedical research industry
- Ideally completion of year 12 or trades certificate with relevant work experience
- Be able to lift 20 kg for the preparation of materials
- Able to follow directions and work in accordance with strict SOPs
- Understanding / Background in the animal or biomedical research industry
- Able to maintain a range of equipment – working with machinery (high-pressure washer)
- Able to perform a hands-on role and be able to undertake the physical components of the role
