About the Job
The Facility Care Coordinator (FCC) at our 40 resident Brighton home is a standalone position and will deputise for the Residential Manager as required, therefore providing a rare and unique leadership opportunity for the right person.
The Facility Care Coordinator is responsible for providing expert gerontological clinical assessment, planning and advice to meet residents’ cultural, emotional, physical, social and spiritual goals and needs. This position is also responsible for leading, supporting and mentoring a team of health care professionals, whilst maintaining a warm and kind culture.
The Facility Care Coordinator will also contribute to the development, management and evaluation of facility performance.
This is a permanent, full time position working Monday to Friday.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be resident and employee focussed; enjoy working as part of a small team and be passionate about achieving high quality outcomes.
You will possess:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Experience in a senior clinical lead role in an aged care residential setting with demonstrated ability to evaluate and synthesise complex clinical information, and develop and implement quality care plans to maximise the quality of life for residents
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Aged Care legislation, regulations and standards e.g. SIRS
- Demonstrated successful track record achieving maximum Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) funding to improve the quality care outcomes for residents
- Experience leading, supporting and mentoring a team of health professionals to achieve quality care outcomes for residents whilst building and maintaining a warm, kind culture
- Ability and commitment to work according to the principles of continuous improvement, learning and professional development.
- Ability to work autonomously, having an understanding of accountability and the importance of consultation
- Strong problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and provide proof of rights to work in Australia
Desirable
- Post Graduate qualification in gerontology
- Formal leadership training
- Experience as a Facility Care Coordinator

Vasey RSL Care Brighton is home to just 40 residents, providing a cosy community.
