Facility Manager /Caretaker

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Caretaker/Facility Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and care of our facilities, ensuring they are kept in excellent condition. This role requires a broad skill set, including general handyman work, maintenance tasks, and facility management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
- Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks as needed, such as painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing.
- Oversee and coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
- Manage the cleanliness and appearance of the facilities, including common areas, offices, and outdoor spaces.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Respond promptly to tenant or staff requests for repairs and maintenance issues.
- Monitor and manage building systems to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in facility management or a related field are a plus.
- Proven experience in facility management, maintenance, or handyman work.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor tasks.
