Facility Manager | North-Central Victoria

Our client, a respected non-profit organisation in the aged care sector, is seeking a dedicated Facility Manager to join their team in the vibrant north-central Victoria region. Lead a team to excellence surrounded by scenic beauty and cultural diversity. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents in a residential aged care setting.
• Oversee and actively participate in resident care, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
• Supervise and administer medications to residents, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Manage staffing levels, including scheduling and addressing any shortfalls in care or domestic staffing.
• Develop and manage operating budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Implement and monitor continuous improvement plans to enhance service delivery.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with ACQSC Quality Standards and legislative requirements.
• Handle any complex issues that arise, knowing when to escalate as necessary.
• Facilitate regular handover details and reporting to oncoming staff.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s values and ethos in all interactions.

About you:

• Current registration as a Nurse in Victoria.
• Experience or qualifications in aged care
• Strong communication skills 
• Proficient problem-solving abilities, knowing when to escalate issues.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Proven experience in leading and coaching large multidisciplinary teams in a 24/7 environment.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Sound understanding of the Aged Care Act and accreditation standards.

To thrive in this position, you should be an experienced Registered Nurse / Care Manager within the aged care sector, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong grasp of relevant regulations.
