Facility Plant Manager

The Costa Mushroom team is passionate about growing the best quality mushrooms. Our carefully managed crops are tendered by our highly skilled team of committed growers. With full ownership of our farm, we retain control of the entire growing and distribution process and can confidently deliver the freshest, highest standard of mushrooms.

A brand-new opportunity exists for two highly motivated Facility Plant Manager to join our mushroom facility in Mernda, Victoria. This role reports to the Hygiene Manager. In this position you will ensure all scheduled cleaning tasks are carried out according to HACCP, audit and quality standards every day.

Key responsibilities include:

• Actively participate and execute daily cleaning schedule as instructed by Hygiene Manager, Department Managers and Quality Teams.
• Ensure all quality, safety, audit, and HACCP requirements are met.
• Follow all Work Instructions when cleaning machinery and ensure the team are following the correct instructions.
• Perform all Box Mover chemical cleaning duties to standard.
• Ensure cleaners perform cleaning tasks using appropriate chemicals, machines, and tools.
• Ensure stock taking of chemicals is performed regularly as required.
• Ensure all cleaners are using the necessary PPEs (e.g. Hair nets, PPE, beard snoods, aprons, gloves, closed in shoes).
• Ensure all documentation and cleaning forms are followed and completed.
• Participate in the fostering of an environment that complies with Company policies.
• Responsibility for supporting and complying with the Costa Group Work Health and Safety Policy, including the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace for the protection of all employees.
• Always ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality requirements.

• Degree level qualification in a Food or Science related discipline.
• Experience cleaning in a Food Manufacturing environment highly regarded.
• Completed HACCP training certificate.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, collaborative, and proactive team player.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
