Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner

• Supporting families after separation to work towards children's best interests
• Part-time opportunity (minimum 3 days per week), based in Liverpool, South-West Sydney
• $41.52 - $46.68 + Super + Salary packaging

What you’ll be doing…

We are seeking an experienced Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioner to join our committed multi-disciplinary team, assisting separated families to make parenting or financial arrangements in the best interests of their children.

Our Family Law and Relationship practitioners work collaboratively to support families through services including FDR, Family Law Counselling & Case Management, Child Inclusive Practice, and Parenting Child Development courses. Our range of programs and partnerships provide opportunities for FDRPs to assist families through integrated and innovative cross-practice.

What you will need…

To be a suitable candidate for this role, you will have:

• The ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with CatholicCare’s Mission, Vision and Values
• Registration as an FDRP, in accordance with AGD requirements, and relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, law or conflict resolution
• Demonstrated experience and skills in Family Dispute Resolution of post-separation parenting, property & financial matters
• Demonstrated experience and skills in assessment of risk factors for clients, and in determining the suitability of cases for FDR
• Experience in the use of FDR models including child informed and child inclusive practice, trauma informed mediation, and legally assisted mediation
