Swan Family Lawyers is a city law firm specialising in family law and wills and estates. We have been strong in these fields for over 30 years and we now seek a Family Lawyer to join our firm.
The firm is headed by Christopher Swan who is recognised as a leader in conflict resolution.
We have a strong reputation in the family law field, and we make it our aim to guide our clients every step of the way and provide legal advice in clear and plain language.
Christopher Swan and our other professional team members will be dedicated to mentor and develop the successful applicant by providing professional support and encouragement to allow for long term career aspirations to be met.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will:
- Work closely with Christopher Swan on the conduct and management of files;
- Engage and interact with clients both face to face and on the phone and Microsoft Teams;
- Be a key team player;
- Undertake research and provide timely and accurate advice in accordance with case law, legislation and court rules;
- Prepare court documents;
- Attend Directions Hearings and procedural court hearings;
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients and other members of the profession;
- Be involved in firm marketing and development initiatives.
To be successful for this role the applicant must have:
- An appreciation that living through a breakdown of relationship can be a stressful time for clients which is demonstrated by empathy and an ability to balance client interests and family law process;
- High degree of computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel;
- High attention to detail; and
- High level of organisational and time management skills.
A knowledge of Leap Practice Management software would be an advantage.

A salary of between $60,000 to $80,000, depending on experience, will be offered to the right candidate.
