Family Lawyer

Our client is seeking a proactive, intelligent and well-organised Family Lawyer to join our reputable Family Team.  You will be working as part of a team providing support to Senior Partners, including:

• representing Government clients; and
• attending a high volume of Court and Tribunal appearances.

We are seeking someone with: 

• 1-4 years PAE
• advocacy experience preferably in the Federal Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court and/or administrative Appeals Tribunal
• Be admitted as a lawyer with the Supreme Court of NSW;
• Have a minimum of 1 year of PQE;
• Have an interest in the fields of Family Law & Commercial Law;
• Be available to work full time;
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Pay attention to detail;
• Be able to meet deadlines;
• Be able to work independently (or in a team) with limited supervision.

• ability to work well within a team environment and manage a high-volume workload
• ability to exercise judgement & resolve problems expeditiously
• strong technical skills including in legal document drafting and research

Suiting candidates at both the Associate and Senior Associate levels, the successful applicant will be required to work on a range of development transactions for a number of private and listed clients, reporting directly to a lead Partner and working autonomously whenever appropriate.  You will get direct client contact and the opportunity to engage in business development and be given every opportunity to build a practice of your own.  The successful applicant will work on everything from:
