Family Services Practitioner - Clayton

A little about the role

As a Family Services Practitioner, you will:

  • Promote the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people by supporting and building capacity of parents responsible for their care
  • Implement program response by working with Families in our Key to Care Framework
  • Provide specialist responses to those children and families at risk
  • Conduct assessments an develop intensive intervention goals with the families
  • Working in an assertive outreach model, in partnership with parents and members of the KEY CARE TEAM to help identify risk and safety concerns within a family
  • Work collaboratively to address any concerns; with the goal of improving the safety and well-being of children to enable them to remain with their families.

The base salary for this position is $80,964 - $87,126 per annum + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.

This position is a full-time, ongoing opportunity.


About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll come with:

  • Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or other relevant recognised Qualifications.
  • Prior experience working with and/or on behalf of children, young people and families.
  • Knowledge of various Child Protection Legislation, Government initiatives and agendas across Victoria.
  • Tenacity, diligence and resilience - with the ability to adopt a creative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
