We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Operator to join our team. You will be working on a well-established large-scale irrigation farm in the Emerald Irrigation Area (EIA), growing predominantly cotton, with legumes and cereals in field rotation.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand the annual cropping program designed to achieve top yield results.
- Prioritise daily activities as directed by the Farm Operations Manager.
- Ensuring the Safety of yourself and your teammates – including reporting incidents, hazards and proactively.
- Operate and maintain all aspects of the irrigation system.
- Setup, operate and maintain all machinery and equipment.
- General fabrication work.
- Maintain workshop equipment and monitor service intervals.
- Commitment to the Cotton Industry’s ‘Best Management Practices’ program.
About you
- A growth mindset, with a willingness to grow with our business.
- Farm work experience commensurate with the role.
- Sound practical experience in general farm work, irrigation, tractors, harvesting equipment, pumps, machinery etc.
- The ability to work in a highly productive, motivated team.
- The ability to communicate well with staff.
- Certificate, diploma or degrees in agriculture related education is an advantage but not essential. Machinery plant & equipment tickets, also an advantage.
- A demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning is highly desirable.
