Feed Truck Driver

Riverhaven Enterprises are seeking a part-time Truck Driver. We will have up to 2 days per week transporting stockfeed using a pneumatic tanker to deliver to our pig farms. Opportunities may exist for extra work hours for suitable candidates. 

We are flexible with working days, open to people seeking some extra work. Normal working days are Monday - Friday daytime hours.  

Duties & responsibilities:

• Safely operate trucks and trailers with on varied roads and traffic conditions.
• Load and deliver feed using pneumatic tanker to pig farms within a 100km radius.
• Operate different types of trailers efficiently and safely.
• Perform daily safety checks, diagnose faults, and basic roadside maintenance.
• Maintain communication, paperwork, and coordination with teams and customers.
• Uphold a professional appearance and attitude as a representative of our values.

Experience & attributes:

• Proficiency in safe truck operations.
• HR or HC Truck license and experience in with a range of trailer configurations and driving conditions.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Accurate documentation skills for completing paperwork.
• Physical fitness for loading & unloading of trucks.
• A commitment to road and workplace safety.
• Readiness to complete medical checks and sobriety screenings.
• Professional presentation, positive demeanor, and reliable punctuality.

• Monday to Friday day shift hourly rates + OT & penalty rates will apply. (an attractive salary will be offered based on experience and attitude)

About us:

At Riverhaven Enterprises we have been farming for 50 years. Steady growth in our farming operations has led us to operating a transport division carting pigs and delivering livestock feed. We also have built a modern feed-mill manufacturing livestock feed which we transport to our farms. We use a pneumatic tanker to deliver this prepared feed to farms. 

We are based near the riverside town of Waikerie, in the Riverland of South Australia.
