About the Role

Working in SIL, you will support our clients in their homes with various activities including daily living, community participation, personal care, domestic duties and taking them to appointments as required. Our participant in Maitland NSW requires support with ADLs and social engagement we are looking for support staff who are experienced with complex behaviours.
These shifts will be 24/7 rotating roster Monday - Sunday and with sleep over shifts.

Essential skills and experiences required to be successful in this role.
- Hold Certificate or currently studying Cert IV in Disability or in Aged Care, Cert III Individual Support, Dip Mental Health, or Minimum work experience within the Care Service Sector.
- Qualifications with Peg Feeding and Manual Handling
- Current First Aid/ CPR Qualifications
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance.
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- A minimum availability of 3 FULL BUSINESS DAYS with additional shifts and weekends available.
- Ability to work independently and exceptional time management.
- Willing to complete NDIS Orientation Module and any other modules required prior to commencing employment.
Desired
A relevant qualification or experience in the following is desired:
- Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours.
- Knowledge and experience with high care participants who have tendency to self-harm.
- Knowledge and experience with high complex health care needs.
- Can Assist Clients with Medication.
