About the Role

As a Home Care Worker, you will be providing personalised Home Care support to older Australians residing around the Southern Canberra suburbs. Some of the locations include, however are not limited to, Molonglo Valley, Tuggeranong and the Inner South. You will be assisting them to remain living independently in their home, so a willingness to travel is essential.

This is a casual opportunity with hours between 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday with no evening or sleepover shifts. You will joining one of Australia’s leading social purpose providers with a dedicated leadership team to support you. Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
  • Community access to medical appointments and social activities
  • Personal Care including grooming and showering
  • Supporting with tasks and routines
  • Build positive relationships with clients


Skills & Experience

  • Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
  • An Australian Driver’s Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)

Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check. We will discuss with and support you to meet these specified requirements as part of your recruitment and on boarding process if successful.

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
