We are seeking caring and responsible Home Care Workers to join our professional and supportive Aged Care Services Team in casual and permanent roles across ACT and surrounding suburbs.
Please note CS#1 is seeking Home Care Workers who can provide:
General Support: No qualification required.
General Support and Personal Care: Min Cert 3/4 required.
Once fully trained and embedded into a new Home Care Worker role at CS#1 you can expect to receive ongoing professional development and training opportunities to further develop your skills and career.
The Team provides support and social programs to maximize our client’s quality of life and enable them to live independently in their own homes.
CS#1 Home Care Workers will be based out of our Head Office in Narrabundah to assist provide support and services to CS#1 clients around Canberra and surrounding Suburbs.
Our Home Care Worker's do not have overnight stays or evening shifts and rarely have weekend shifts.
Core activities may include:
- Domestic assistance: (including but not limited to general cleaning, laundry, transport, shopping and preparing meals).
- Social Support: Supporting the client in a social capacity which can be within the home or in a community setting.
- Transport: Provide transport to CS#1 clients in the community.
- Personal care: assisting (were required) to a client with showering, dressing, creams etc. (Cert 3/4 required).
- Communicating with CS#1 Team to ensure clients support plan is reflecting support needs by providing progress notes from each shift and escalating of any change in health, wellbeing, or risks of the client.
- Representing the CS#1 team internally and externally with clients, families, and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining privacy and dignity for CS#1 client’s and have respectful interactions.

What you will bring to the team
To be considered for these roles, you’ll hold, or be working towards a Certificate 3 in Community Services, Individual Support (or approved equivalent) and/or relevant work experience. If you are part-way through completing your studies, CS#1 will support you complete as you attain your qualification.
You will be required to have or willing to obtain:
- Working Vulnerable People Card
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Full Drivers Licence and car
- COVID-19 Vaccination History Certificate
