Female Registered Nurse (Aged Care)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATEWe are seeking a Female RN, who is enthusiastic and passionate about providing a caring, compassionate, respectful and high-quality service. Ideally, you will have at least 5 years' experience in Aged Care, including a detailed understanding of the current Aged Care Standards, previous supervisory experience and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.  

You must have a passion for working with Indigenous people and be able to live and work remotely, be flexible and work well in a team. Preferred applicants will have previous experience working with and caring for Indigenous people. THE OPPORTUNITY

In this permanent, full-time role, you will provide skilled nursing care and assist with the supervision of care staff. You will also contribute to ACFI assessments and prepare resident care plans.

ABOUT US
Menkawum Ngurra Frail Aged Hostel, part of Yura Yungi Medical Service is a 28-bed Residential Aged Care Facility in the Shire of Halls Creek. We assist both low and high-care residents with day-to-day activities of daily living, quality clinical care and provide regular outings.  We are located in the heart of the Kimberley, and you will have access to some of Australia's most spectacular National Parks.  Learn more here: Halls Creek Tourism.

Menkawum Ngurra operates in a culturally appropriate manner and is supported by and forms part of the Yura Yungi Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation, an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.  Yura Yungi provides primary health care services, along with holistic, culturally appropriate curative services with integrated preventative programs. 

WHAT WE OFFER

*** Aged Care Retention Bonus - $6,000 paid at 12 months and 24 months (as per Govt Incentives) ***

A base salary of $50-$55/hr plus relevant penalties depending on your qualifications and experience. A Remote Allowance of $2,300/a pro rata and subsidised accommodation is also provided. 5 weeks of Annual Leave and generous Salary Packaging benefits are offered. We offer a range of optional benefits to employees via salary packaging, depending on individual circumstances.
