Aegis is our State’s largest Residential Aged Care Provider employing over 3,500 staff.Situated in the heart of the Calista community, Aegis Banksia Park, caters for up to 112 Residents within a Low Care, High Care setting as well as Dementia Specific Care services. Our friendly team are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our ranks.You should be an empathetic person who possesses the following qualities:

• A commitment and genuine passion for Aged Care.
• An ability to inspire trust and proactively lead, coach, develop and mentor both unregulated care workers, care, and lifestyle staff.

Within this role you will be a champion of high quality, safe and effective nursing that aligns with the resident preference and best practice by:

• Undertaking clinical, social and self-care assessments.
• Anticipate residents’ changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals.
• Support residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions, or concerns.

You will be responsible for compliance:

• Ensuring all care documentations are completed with the appropriate strategies implemented.
• Identifying and managing clinical risk in the aged care setting.

Your role within the team would involve:

• Supporting, coaching, monitoring, and mentoring the unregulated care workers.
• Providing support to the Clinical Nurse Manager and clinical expertise to the care team.

We need you to possess the following accreditation, skills and working rights:

• A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care.
• A sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
• Full Australian working rights and be able to pass a national police clearance.
