Primary Location
Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Fibre Splicer to join our Unify Networks team. Reporting directly to the Regional Programs Manager, you will be responsible for fibre splicing & fault finding on network outages. The successful applicant will have a firm understanding of the NBN Topology in all areas across the FTTC and FTTP Technology. Based in Brisbane, and offered on a Permanent, Full Time basis, this position offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Reporting Line: Regional Programs Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Optic fibre testing/splicing and commissioning as appropriate and running Optic Fibre cable
- Update appropriate systems with project completion data and maintain databases of reference
- Carry out site inspections prior to work commencing
- Act as the first or second member of a two-person team working in defined confined spaces or larger jobs
- Adherence to ALL company policies and procedures
- May be required to assist and guide the on-the-job training and job familiarisation of staff other than those directly led
- Perform other duties as required, which may include activities normally carried out at other levels
- Role will require some travel and overnight stays to complete work orders as required.
- Assisting supervisors to pre-scope/haul/prep CRQ outages

About You
To be successful in this role, will also demonstrate and possess the following:
- Proven track record of experience
- Regulatory certification as required
- Certifications in Telecommunications
- Industry accreditation's within the Telecommunications Industry
- Current driver’s licence
- Previous experience in Ribbon Fibre/NBN Networks and Telecommunications
