This role will commence in Kwinana and then be based on a project in regional Western Australia.
The Role:
CB&I Australia are seeking a Field Engineer who enjoys hands on work, providing technical support and guidance during all project phases to ensure that project designs meet operational requirements and specified engineering standards.
This is a project based role, offering project hours upon mobilisation to site.
This will be a fast paced role where no day is the same, we are looking for a person who is proactive, and considers no job as too big or too small.
Primary Function:
Working closely and collaborating with the project management team the successful candidate will provide sound and timely quality and technical support for field crew and superintendents.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide the project with engineering and technical expertise including interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, surveying, and layout, maintaining and controlling drawings and engineering documents.
- Project Coordination - Support the project Superintendent, Project Engineer, or Project Manager in the daily planning, scheduling and coordination of the job.
- Provide input to establish a detailed construction plan to provide for the efficient utilization of labour, materials, and equipment.
- Responsible for RFI’s / TQ’s to resolve technical issues in a timely manner to enable the project to be delivered safely on time and meeting all quality requirements.
- Ensure that items are installed as per latest project specifications and drawings, meeting quality, cost and time constraints.
- Investigate and follow-up on technical queries with the technical services groups.
About You:
- Typically, 5 years since first degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience in Project Engineering or Construction Management
- Professional Degree (Engineering or other Technical BSc Required)
- The ultimate problem solver with a can do attitude.
- Ability to analytically approach problems.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the project organisation.
- Must have good organisation and prioritization skills.
- Must be able to work in the field with crews.
- Adaptability and Agility to learn and contribute in varying and complex environments.
- Tank Experience is desirable.
You must hold full working rights to work in Australia.
