Summary
The Field Manager will manage the performance of people, projects, and processes. This includes assisting in job planning, execution and closing activities necessary to successfully upgrade sites on the nbn Fixed Wireless Network.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Review and sign off on relevant permits before activity.
- Complete daily "boots on ground" photos for active sites.
- Deliver mandated "toolbox/alerts" to active teams on time.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and enforce erosion control plans.
- Immediately report any incidents or near misses.
- Actively participate in site safety initiatives, audits, and SWMS development.
- Coordinate project activities, schedule works, and understand site status.
- Keep Field Manager milestones updated and support defect/maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate management systems and report recoverable costs.
- Develop professional relationships with key stakeholders and ensure open communication.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant 3rd parties.
- Prepare mandated site records and reports, monitor site progress, and manage field productivities.
- Ensure work meets specifications, standards, and timelines.
- Conduct daily/weekly housekeeping checks, support defect closure, and complete site-specific ITPs.
- Clearly instruct, record, communicate, and execute variations.
- Provide cost-efficient solutions to the Project Engineer.
- Manage spending within budget limits, process expenses, and submit timesheets.
- Conduct business in alignment with Servicestream's core values.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, demonstrate leadership, and interact collaboratively.
- Excel in team performance, client services, EHS, and quality.
- Maintain proactive communications with clients, participate in meetings, and resolve complex issues.
- Escort clients as required for site audits and other activities.
About You
- Driver's license.
- Significant experience in Mobile Telecommunication environment.
- Experience in civil, telecommunications, and hands-on problem-solving.
- Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and asset management systems (advantageous).
- Understanding of contract administration.
- Proficiency in the MS office suite.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to respond calmy and decisively during a major incident or emergency.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors, deal with on-site issues, and quality and safety management.
