Field Officer

Juru Enterprises Limited is a local Bowen business who work to maintain and protect our landand seacountry, andculture securinga better future for our youth and generationsto come. We area friendly, supportive team who work hard towards big goals but also promote a work-life balance.We arecurrently seeking applicants for threecasual positions as Field Officers. Thisis a Monday to Friday role and the daily hours you are required to work willvaryper contractual need. Interviews will be conducted at our Bowen Office.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Follow directions given by their Supervisors and the ProjectManager
• Ability to work safelyin a team environment
• Display personal drive, integrity and behave in an honestand ethical manner
• Communicate effectively and confidently
• A positive, enthusiastic 'can-do' attitude and are keento learn
• Ability to start as soon as possible

Yourduties will include, but are not limited to:

• Contribute to Wetlands site coordination and management
• Attend to and undertake whenneeded the following:
  • Weed control and management
  • Feral pest monitoring and control
  • Coast and beach monitoring
  • Turtle sitemanagement and monitoring
  • General equipment maintenance.
  • Habitat rehabilitation including seedcollection, site preparation and monitoring
  • Nursery duties including plant propagation
• Contribute to Reporting andData collection as requested by the Supervisors and/or Project Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants should reside in Bowen or be prepared to make arrangements to present reliably and promptly each work day. Must hold a Drivers Licenceand own a reliable vehicle.

Successful applicants will also be required tosubmit to a criminal history checkas well as be subject to random drug andalcohol testing throughout the term of their employment.
