Bush Heritage

Bush Heritage Australia, an independent, leading conservation not-for-profit, operates to make a very real contribution to the protection of Australia's unique wildlife and it's habitat.

Bush Heritage's vision of Healthy Country protected forever sees the business work where they are needed most: in areas of high conservation value with low levels of protection. With the help of donors, Bush Heritage buy's and manages land, so they can protect our irreplaceable landscapes and our magnificent native species forever.

Currently Bush Heritage owns 37 reserves, and protects and helps to manage 11.3 million hectares of land across the country. Bush Heritage seeks to return the bush to good health, providing habitat for 6,700 native species, including at least 226 threatened species. Two proven approaches underline what Bush Heritage does: carefully selecting, purchasing and managing landscapes of high conservation value; and working in partnership with others, including Traditional Owners to achieve key conservation outcomes.
