We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Operations Manager to join our Queensland sales team.
You will manage and coach a team of Van Sales Representatives, who are responsible for delivering product, merchandising and upselling to a fun and varied group of customers – convenience stores, cafes, retailers, entertainment venues, aquatic centres, beach kiosks, sporting grounds and more.
This is a busy and varied role that suits someone who is hand-on and enjoys working in the field. Your team starts their day around 6 AM, so you can expect early starts in this role. You will spend a minimum of 2 to 3 days per week in the field, coaching and supporting your team. On your office days, you have the flexibility of working from our Darra or Ormeau sites who both require regular visits as both of these sites will form part of your regular starting points each day.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing your direct team in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, including coaching and developing your team’s skills and capabilities in the field
- Driving your team’s distribution and sales results
- Managing safety, fatigue management, journey plan compliance and labour spend for the state
- Dynamically routing orders for next day delivery
- Amending runs and routes around peak summer and winter requirements for the state
- Operational responsibilities, such as managing the truck fleet and warehouse/stock management for the state
- Backfilling staff as required (i.e. leave cover if needed)
To be shortlisted for this position, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent people management and communications skills
- Strong organisational, planning and prioritization skills, ideally gained in logistics/fleet management
- Sales and/or customer service experience
- An MR license; we can support the right candidate in obtaining this
- Safe driver history
