Join Our Team as a Field Service Engineer!

Location: Sydney, NSW

Role Overview:

The main focus of this position is to deliver high quality, innovative, cost-effective IT infrastructure in support of the corporate business and across all locations. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient operations of server and network infrastructure, delivering all aspects of Windows server, VMware virtual desktop environment, WAN and LAN support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The role is to deliver desktop and infrastructure support services and occasional project capabilities to the division.
  • Deliver and report on SLAs and other analytics to management.
  • Action help desk tickets and escalate issue to technicians as appropriate.
  • Prioritize own daily activities to meet team objectives.
  • Take ownership of client issues and escalate issue to appropriate IT managers as necessary.
  • Follow processes and procedures to resolve issues.
  • As needed, provide day-to-day support of PC/MAC hardware, software, printing and networking issues.
  • Operate and contribute as part of the wider technology team.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, support and optimisation of the organisation's IT infrastructure.
  • Responsible for engaging with 3rd line support in accordance with the standards of customer service set by the organisation following our ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration management.
  • Contribute to team activities as required.
  • Domestic and / or international travel may be required.
  • Weekend or Off Business hours support required as necessary.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (XP - 10), Active Directory, System Centre Configuration Manager, System Centre Operations Manager, and Server 2008 - 2012 R2.
  • Experience in requirements management, quality assurance, and IT processes.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of a wide range of computer technologies including desktop hardware, server/converged infrastructure, SAN, NAS technologies and peripherals, VDI, Hyper-V, and VMware products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
