In this role you will be a L2 Service Desk Engineer who is happy to look after some L1 tasks as well. You will work for a leading events company and will be based onsite at their office near Mascot. The company is going through an IT transformation and as such will see a number of improvements to systems and overall business operations during your time. To be successful you will have experience working with virtual team members, a background with Windows, 0365, your drivers license and are able to work well autonomously.
This is a permanent role paying up to $110k + Super.
You must have full working rights.
About the client
They are a national events and exhibition company with offices in Sydney & Melbourne. They host some of Australia’s biggest events such as Melbourne Cup, Football grand finals etc. They are a well established company that operates as a small business.
About you
- 2-4 years experience as L2 Service Desk Engineer (also willing to look after some L1 tasks)
- Experience supporting hybrid setup (data centre and cloud), Windows O365, SharePoint, Dell Hardware, Ios, various ticketing & phone systems
- Strong ability to prioritise competing tasks
- Confident communication skills to speak to all levels of the business
- Preference to work in a typical ‘non corporate environment’
- Drivers license
- Full working rights in Australia (you don’t require sponsorship)
Day to day
- Each day will likely be quite different due to the business going through an IT transformation. There will always be something new and exciting to get stuck into
- Work in a fairly unstructured environment where you will have requests from different people within the business and will need to prioritise tasks based off importance and urgenc
- Respond to customer incidents and service requests via email phone and ticketing system (light touch approach
- Deliver hard and soft break fix services for laptops and desktops
- Desk side support
- Support, manage and maintain the configuration and installation of desktops
- Provide hardware and software support and maintenance on desktop devices
