About the role
Reporting to the Customer Care Operations Manager - ANZ, this role will lead a team of Service Engineers who will provide on-going technical support and engineering assistance for the wide variety of quality equipment used by a broad range of customers.
Responsibilities
· Be the first point of contact for your designated Service Engineers on day-today operational matters.
· Lead and motivate team members to achieve their individual and team goals.
· Provide guidance and support to team members to help them develop their skills and reach their full potential.
· Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages collaboration and innovation.
· Set clear goals and expectations for the team and ensure they are met.
· Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
· Provide technical Field Service installation and new equipment start up commissioning and support.
· Install and commission equipment from JBT portfolio, in particular cooking and freezing, at customer sites.
· Supervise subcontractor or customer crew in effective installation procedure.
· Welding upgrades and repairs on customer equipment.
· Provide customers with advice, training and assistance on equipment maintenance and safety issues.
· Provide customer support to by responding to callouts, completing maintenance. requests, planned preventative maintenance.
· Apply engineering aptitude to identify and solve problems.
· Work independently and as part of a team on new installations and upgrade projects giving timely response to issues raised.
· Produce reports including timesheets, service call reports and site inspection reports.
· Travel to support our customers throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Candidate requirements
- Trade background in Electrical/Mechanical.
- Knowledge of JBT Equipment and/or experience in food equipment manufacturing.
- Exposure to PLCs.
- Experience in Food Processing.
- Tray sealing experience is highly regarded.
- Willingness to travel both interstate and internationally to complete projects as required.
- Previous experience in a customer 'Field Service' position is required.
- Previous experience in a customer-lead "Field Service' position is preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Excellent communication at all level of the organization.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Safety focused.
