Field Service Engineer- Diagnostic Imaging (Qld)
Our client is a global leader in its class of Diagnostic Medical Imaging. An opportunity exits in the Queensland Service Team as a Field Service Engineer.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers, driving customer satisfaction through service excellence. Installing and maintaining electronic equipment in the Imaging Portfolio, X-ray and Cardiac / vascular modalities. Success will be achieved by applying a consultative, problem solving and customer focused approach to service delivery.
The role will focus on servicing diagnostic imaging equipment within metro Brisbane and regional Queensland.

Service Delivery
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- To operate cohesively with all other Company personnel to maximise Company business and promote the company and related products
- Develop a working knowledge of company's OEM product range
- Advise and mentor junior engineers
- In periods of low activity, work in other modalities as required
- Promote service contract business wherever possible
- Ensure all Service labour, parts and related products are correctly and completely documented in accordance with the Company’s procedures
- Be familiar with the Company’s Quality Assurance procedures and ensure their implementation where applicable.
- Support sales staff with technical information and knowledge.
- Obtain EPA radiation license
- Obtain “Red Card”
- Obtain Restricted Electrical License
- Install equipment in a high quality, professional manner with strong attention to detail in accordance with the company standards, compliance standards and customer requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with company standards, compliance standards and customer requirements.
- Make corrective repair calls in a timely manner, aligned with customer contract requirements and repair the equipment in accordance with company standards and directives and customer requirements..
- The Field Service Engineer retains ownership of the problem until it is resolved.
- The Field Service Engineer must keep the customer, Service Delivery Manager (SDM) informed on progress.
- Keep management and commercial account managers fully aware of all developments in the installed base.
- Keep customers fully satisfied by keeping them informed of activities when on site and/or working on their behalf whilst on site.
- Report regularly to management in accordance with reporting guidelines/procedures.
- Complete other assignments and projects as directed.
- Follow the alert procedure for system down.
- Attend technical and general skills development training courses as directed and keep abreast of developments/technical product information.
- Work within the defined responsibilities as documented as expected by company guidlines.
- Accurately complete and lodge all service documentation in a timely manner within company guidelines.
- Ensure all company property (tools, test equipment, motor vehicle) is kept in optimum condition and test tools calibrated according to the schedule requirements.
- Ensure that parts usage/ordering is optimized from both the companies and the customer’s perspective.
Compliance
- Adhere to and uphold highest standards of compliance to relevant international and local Regulatory and company Codes
- Adhere to all applicable company's compliance policies, codes, and training requirements
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Required Skills / Qualifications
- Electrical or Electronic and/or other appropriate Trade skills
- Experience in Diagnostic Imaging installation, repair and maintenance
- Network and Dicom set up and maintenance knowledge
- Good written and verbal communication skills at senior management and medical professional level.
- Good organisational skills
- Able to work unsupervised
