Field Service Fitter

We are on the hunt for a trade-qualified Fitter to join our expanding Weipa Field Service team.

This is a permanent, full-time position where you will work a 7 on 7 off roster and provide Field Service support to either our mine sites or local areas covering mining and construction industries. Accommodation is supplied for FIFO employees and will be in either mining camp accommodation or a fully furnished shared house with allowances covering meals.

Applicants will be local to Weipa or FIFO from Townsville, Cairns, or Brisbane. Enjoy short flying times!

As a Field Service Fitter, you will:

• Travel to different locations and advance your career through exposure to a diverse range of projects and challenges.

• Perform with breakdown diagnostic & warranty support

• Perform scheduled servicing and repairs

• Work with a team of highly skilled CAT technicians in a positive work environment and culture

About You

A successful teammate will have experience in: 

• A trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting, or a similar field (Cert III Engineering)

• Previous experience with CAT machinery and diagnostic systems

• Well-developed communication and customer service skills

• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
