the successful field technician will provide a range of reliability services to a broad range of industrial customers including, but not limited to condition monitoring (primarily advanced vibration analysis) and corrective maintenance services.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform condition monitoring data collection on a wide variety of rotating and reciprocating plant/machinery in a variety of industrial environments.
- Primarily routine monitoring surveys but may include non-routine investigations.
- Vibration: Primarily with portable vibration data collectors (CSI 2130, CSI 2140, Bently Nevada SCOUT140)
- Collection of data from monitoring & protection racks (e.g., Bently Nevada 3500, Orbit 60)
- Other online vibration data collection devices
- Thermographic (infrared) Imaging
- Oil Sampling
- Motor Current Signature Analysis (desirable)
- Perform advanced vibration analysis services:
- Software: CSI Machinery Health Manager
- Up to and including rotor dynamic diagnostics on turbo machinery (desirable)
- In-situ balancing (desirable)
- Root cause analysis (desirable)
- Provision of technical reports to customers including detailed analysis, diagnostic conclusions and recommended corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree (in Electrical or Mechanical Trade or Engineering)
- Extensive field-based experience in either of the following industries,- Power Generation
- Oil & Gas (including offshore)- Food & Beverage manufacturing
- Manufacturing- Mining- Current Drivers License valid in Australia
- Certified Vibration Analyst ISO 18436.2 category II (minimum requirement)
- Certified Vibration Analyst ISO 18436.2 category III (Highly desirable)
- Certified Infrared Thermography ISO 18436.7 Category 1 (desirable)
- Certified Field Lubrication ISO 18436-4 Category 1 (desirable)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Maritime Security Induction Card (MSIC)
- Confined Space Entry (desirable)
- Safe
Work at Height (desirable)
- Understanding of OH&S practices
