Our client, a leading provider of healthcare solutions and supplies, are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their busy team in Darwin. Possessing a degree or advanced diploma in Electronics / Biomedical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification and with a solid understanding of electro-mechanical equipment, you will be responsible for conducting corrective servicing, preventative maintenance and carry out timely repairs to a variety of equipment used within medical settings. You will take a hands-on approach, be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently whilst maintaining exceptional levels of customer service.

About the role
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
- Execute corrective service and preventive maintenance on designated equipment with a strong focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of all equipment repairs within specified timeframes.
- Provide technical support, including assistance with PC and/or systems-based products, either remotely or at customer locations.
- Generate quotations for equipment repair and assess warranty claims for repair evaluation.
- Maintain accurate service records by consistently utilizing service documentation and technical data.
- Evaluate and report on product performance, identifying faults, and providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping practices.
- Conduct calibration of test equipment and uphold proper documentation.
- Inspect and ensure the cleanliness and functionality of demonstration products before dispatching to customer sites for evaluation.
- Assist in quality and product audits as needed.
- Ensure workshop tools and test equipment are well-maintained and calibrated.
- Periodic domestic travel may be required.
- Regular availability for after-hours work.
- Participate in provided technical product training.
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Hold a degree or Advanced Diploma in Electronics/Biomedical Engineering or equivalent (Recent graduates are encouraged).
- Have solid technical experience in electro-mechanical and/or electrical fields.
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with servicing according to Australia Standard AS3551.
- Hold any necessary certifications for working in public places and the health field as required by local regulations.
- Be hands-on with a robust technical background.
- Proficient in electro-mechanical fault-finding.
- Be self-motivated with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Can work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Be capable of handling pressure and delivering results.
- Possess an analytical mindset, be resourceful and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be committed to relationship-building with clients and have effective customer communication skills.
- Committed to adhering to all company and customer policies.
- Willingness to be vaccinated for flu and COVID if required for access to customer sites.
- Possess a full, clean driver's license.
- Have a basic knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and norms.
