About the Role

Based at our customer mine sites and customer sites the role of Mechanical Field Service Machinist/Fitter would be performing manual machining operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, broaching, and conventional milling and lathe work using various engine lathes and perform the setting up and machining of armatures and rotors. Please note this is not an exhaustive list of requirements or functions.
About You
Typically, you come from a strong mechanical background, preferably with experience gained on mine sites and a strong desire to continue your career within the heavy machines industry. This role involves regular travel to mine/ customer sites.
Key Selection Criteria
The essentials
- Certificate lll Engineering trade – Fitter and turner
- Availability to attend breakdowns at short notice
- Must being willing to travel to suit Flanders business needs
- Well-developed verbal and written communication as you will be liaising with our client’s and submitting reports on site performance
The desirables
- Valid and current standard 11 and COAL board medical
- MR or HR valid license
- Coal mine site experience would be valued
- Overhead crane ticket & Laser alignment skills highly advantageous
- Vibration analysis experience welcomed
- Working at heights certification and associated HRWL required
