Field Service Technician
As a Service Technician you will be responsible for performing general service and repair works in both a workshop-based environment and on-site in various locations including CNG refuelling sites. You will conduct regular checks, servicing, and maintenance on plant and equipment, as well as repair any faults or issues that arise. In addition, you will be involved in record keeping, fault reporting, liaising with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Your role will contribute to the continual improvement of internal processes and the overall success of the organisation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems in both workshop based and site locations.
- Conduct regular checks and schedule services/ maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Repair and fix any faults or issues with plant and equipment.
- Maintain records through physical paperwork and online data entry as required.
- Report faults and issues into the online system
- Assist in deliveries and collections where required.
- Ensure workshop and tool maintenance - ensure service box stock levels are maintained.
- Responsible for compliance with HSE policies, ensuring workplace compliance, and reporting hazard and near misses.
- Foster a workforce culture of excellence, innovation , honesty and teamwork.
Key experience, qualifications and skills for this role include:
- Hold a valid Victorian driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 25 kgs.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day.
- Great communication skills
- Technical Automotive Certificate (Technical Degree is preferred but not a must).
- Ability to diagnose problems with equipment.
- Great mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshot and operate machine-based control systems
- Ability to communicate well in English.
- Gas industry experience is an advantage
- Respecting the environment and always keeping a clean work area.
- Ability to interpret detailed parts books and service manuals
- Good attention to detail in performing work and when completing service reports and documenting jobs.
- Willingness to learn and adapt with new jobs / projects
