Position Overview
The Field Service Technician provides our customers with routine service and aftermarket support on the entire Genie range throughout Queensland and other regions as required.
Scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs of our customers equipment are key aspects of this role. This includes but is not limited to OEM warranty repair, workshop-based repairs and ad-hoc support to our pre-delivery process.
Responsibilities
- Carry out, service, repair, maintenance and rebuilding of Genie equipment
- Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted on time and accurately
- Use hazard identification tools and systems to ensure safe work practices are used and work areas are hazard free
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
- Maintenance report of machinery daily as directed
- Ensure that repairs and overhauls are completed to Genie Industry Standards, as well as following all company policies and safety guidelines
- Develop and maintain effective ongoing relationships with key customers
Qualifications
- Trade Qualification (Light Vehicle, Plant Mechanic, Auto Electrical or Heavy Duty)
- Current Driver’s License
- Forklift license (desirable not essential)
- High risk work license (desirable not essential)
- Experience in service work on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of Elevated Work Platforms (desirable not essential)
- Experience in the access industry (desirable but not essential)
- The ability to perform troubleshooting and repair work on machinery.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
- Good problem solving and communication skills.
- The ability to work unsupervised.
- A good understanding of computer systems.
