About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Portables Technician to join our Asset Services team based at the Brisbane Airport.
As the Portables Technician you will:
- Service portable & other fire protection equipment on our customer premises and recommend portable fire protection and safety systems and equipment to comply with specific Australian Standards
- Provide excellent customer service and advice to our clients on site
- Use hand and power tools to install and maintain portable fire equipment such as extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants and other fire protection equipment
About You
Are you the person CV needs? If you can answer yes to the points below, you just might be!
- Complete and pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol screening
- 2 + years’ experience in a Portables Technician role
- Must hold a QBCC licence and Cert 2 in Fire Protection (minimum)
- Must hold Current QLD Drivers Licence – Class C
- The ability to travel to multiple sites in the Sunshine Coast & greater region on a daily basis
- Self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team
- Exceptional customer service skills and customer focus
- Professional with adaptable communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills with ability to keep to a calendar schedule
- Resourceful and efficient with routine testing and repairs
- Must have proficient knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards for testing and installation
- Must have proficient reading, writing, digital data and app based skills
- Experience with FireMate is highly regarded
