Job Description
SGS is looking for a Field Services and Inspection Business Manager to join out team on a full time permanent basis, to oversee the business function of inspections, including NDT, smart NDT, and OCTG inspection operations throughout Australia and PNG.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain a safety culture that minimises hazards and injuries.
- Ensure profitability of each business location with a strong sales focus.
- Manage operational rollouts to establish growth in line with business plan expectations.
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients both locally and internationally.
- Manage and update dedicated sales tools, including CRM.
- Handle relationships for subcontracted services.
- Expand business offerings in line with opportunities and strategic plan.
- Develop and monitor a plan for operational expansion.
- Establish and expand the customer base in Australia by identifying growth opportunities.
- Implement strategies to optimise operational effectiveness.
- Manage daily operations to ensure work is completed to required standards.
- Handle all aspects of financial reporting, including forecasting and cost control.
- Create a culture of high performance and quality through motivation and leadership.
- Ensure succession planning, staff professional development, and training.
- Implement continuous improvement drive towards efficiencies.
- Maintain effective communication with senior management and other key business units.
- Monitor key market activities, including customers, potential customers, and competitors.
- Identify new service offerings and sales opportunities.
- Prepare tender responses, quotations, and service order agreements.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Engineering and inspections.
- Strong commercial financial management experience.
- Strong sales and business development background.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience and understanding of customer requirements.
