A new role has been created to join our team as our NSW Field Services Supervisor for our EnergyAustralia Solar business.
The Field Services Supervisor NSW plays a pivotal role in overseeing solar installation, maintenance, and repair activities within NSW. This position contributes to the organisation’s commitment to deliver quality Solar installations in the safest way possible.
What you will be doing:
Supervision and Coordination:
- Coordinate and supervise field staff, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient execution of solar-related tasks.
- Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources effectively, considering both in-house technicians and subcontractors.
- Monitor inventory levels of solar equipment and materials, ensuring availability for scheduled tasks.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular quality checks on solar installations and repairs performed by both internal teams and subcontractors.
- Address any deviations from standards promptly.
Safety Inspections and Audits:
- Perform routine safety inspections on solar installations, identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct periodic audits to assess adherence to safety protocols and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to field technicians and subcontractors.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Promote a safety-first culture among all personnel, including subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and guidelines.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including installation details, maintenance logs, incident reports, safety inspection findings, and audit outcomes.
- Generate performance reports for management review.
What you will bring to the role:
Qualifications:
- Electrical Supervisor License (NSW): Mandatory requirement. Must hold a valid electrical supervisor license issued by the New South Wales Government.
- SAA Certification/Clean Energy Council Certified: Preferred. Familiarity with SAA (Standards Australia) certification for electrical equipment used in solar installations.
Skills:
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in solar panel installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Leadership Abilities: Experience in supervising field teams and subcontractors.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address technical challenges promptly.
