We are seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to join our dynamic team at the Malaga office in Western Australia.
Responsibilities: Your role will see you overseeing work crews to achieve optimum delivery of projects in a safe work environment. You'll serve as a coach to your team and monitor their daily activities to ensure they have the knowledge, tools and resources they need to successfully provide the best service possible to our clients.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee upgrade projects for mobile telecommunications sites, ensuring your crew delivers exceptional results.
- Champion a culture of safety by providing clear OHS/safety instruction and ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment for Project Managers, HSE Advisors, Team Members, and Apprentices.
- Manage daily crew operations, guaranteeing teams meet OHS, environmental, and project objectives.
- Identify and report any field issues to management for prompt resolution.
- Supervise the installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers, ensuring quality workmanship.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel, empowering them to excel.
- Proactively identify and resolve recurring project challenges, optimising efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to direct and coordinate all project phases, from manufacturing and construction to installation, maintenance, and documentation.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed works, verifying adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Guarantee all project activities comply with relevant regulations and authority requirements.
Who you are:
- A champion of HSE work practices, ensuring everyone goes home safely.
- Someone with strong telecommunications industry experience, with solid knowledge of mobile construction and maintenance activities (ideally with Telstra, Optus, NBN or GRN)
- Experienced in managing teams within a construction or telecommunications environment.
- An expert in active listening and building rapport with team members, clients, and project managers.
- Someone who masterfully manages their time, juggling deadlines with ease.
- A well-versed professional, with a solid knowledge in the use and selection of the correct, specific equipment for telecommunication maintenance and break-fix activities, depending on the project requirements.
- A team player with a collaborative spirit, readily contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
What you’ll bring:
- Full Australian work rights.
- Hold a current manual driver's license.
- Possession of a valid White Card for construction safety.
- 5+ years of verifiable experience in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
- Prior experience working on greenfield guyed mast, tower, and monopole construction projects.
- Familiarity with RF (Radio Frequency) concepts.
