The Role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Officer to join our fast growing team at our Lara head office. The job requires a highly experienced bookkeeper, someone that is not afraid of a challenge, that can work autonomously, manage their time efficiently, is enthusiastic and self motivated and can adapt to change in the role as the business continues to expand. You will be working closely and bring a collaborative work ethic with the Directors, Officer Manager, and have the capability to manage all aspects of AP/AR for multiple entities.
Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
End to end bookkeeping:
- Multiple companies to manage all finances of, in the field of Stonemasonry and Scaffolding.
- Using Xero- Data entry with job allocations for all transactions, all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, regular bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts, regular BAS/IAS reporting, SRO reporting, cash flow forecasting, fortnightly P & L reporting for jobs in progress.
- Full function payroll for approximately 25 staff including time sheet reporting, travel allowances, overtime and other entitlements, monthly PAYG and Superannuation reporting.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Five+ years of Bookkeeping experience with strong attention to detail
- Minimum two years experience with Xero
- Proficient with Excel and use of spreadsheets, or Powerpoint reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be consistently reliable and punctual
- Reporting skills
Experience in the building and construction industry is preferred, although not essential. Your passion, work ethic and integrity in believing that your contributions will make a difference in the day to day managing of the finances.
