Our client is looking for a Finance Officer to support their financial operations, handling complete Accounts Receivable processes. Initially reporting to the COO, this role will manage invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation tasks. Key responsibilities include reducing outstanding debtors, improving collection efficiency, and delivering detailed analysis on debtor management and financial data.
The suitable candidate will oversee Accounts Receivable processes, utilizing the client's internal system (Elite) for invoicing and Oracle Financial Management for reconciliation. Role's responsibilities include monitoring and minimizing outstanding debtors to ensure prompt collection of receivables, as well as preparing and analysing financial reports on debtors and related metrics. Collaboration with internal stakeholders for monthly reporting to Central Finance and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) is crucial. Additionally, coordinating external client financial reporting, including statements of accounts and month-end accruals, and ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures, particularly regarding trust accounts and disbursements, are essential components of the role.
The successful applicant will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar role, ideally within a legal or professional service setting. You will also have a solid grasp of financial principles and practices, with preferred experience using financial systems like Elite and Oracle. Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in interpreting financial data are essential, as well as effective communication skills to collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
