Job description

  • Commencing salary range $39,631.20 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation (FTE $66,052 per annum)
  • Part-time (22.8 hours per week)
  • 12 months fixed-term opportunity

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a committed and experienced Accounts Payableto manage and execute end to end Accounts Payable function responsibilities for the Institute to ensure accurate and timely recording, processing and payment of accounts.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all workflows in the AP system
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders
  • Provide training, advice and support in relation system workflows
  • Address queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) legislation
  • Ensure compliance with Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) legislation
  • Reconciliation of the Accounts Payable sub ledger and general ledger at month end ensuring all reconciliation items are investigated and cleared promptly
  • Monitor invoices for capital expenditure items
  • Perform daily student refund
  • Periodic review of Supplier Masterfile

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A relevant degree or diploma and relevant work experience; or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in running a digitised end to end Accounts Payable function including management of system workflows and import integrations.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft office applications.
  • Previous experience using TechnologyOne accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Highly developed time management skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems with an initiative to contribute to improving processes.
  • High level of accuracy in data entry and processing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written with the ability to provide advice.
