How you will make an impact
As Finance Analyst, your responsibilities will be varied ranging from advising on appropriate application of financial reporting to specific transactions, deliver insightful Board reporting based on an in-depth knowledge of the Group’s activities and coordinating the half year and year end audits to ensure deadlines are met.
The Transactions and Reporting team sits within the broader Finance team. This role will participate in building pro-active relationships with Finance, a variety of Dexus Business Units and external auditors.
Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Deliver practical, relevant and commercial financial accounting solutions that enable Dexus to achieve strategic and financial objectives
Technical research; assessing the impact of new accounting standards and assisting in their implementation for Dexus
Preparation of Board papers, including communication of technical accounting matters, audit fees etc.
About You
We are looking for a highly driven, agile and motivated individual with a demonstrated understanding of statutory reporting and/or transaction experience ideally within a Big 4 / Chartered, Audit or ASX listed property environment. Your ability to explain complex matters clearly and succinctly to stakeholders at varying levels of seniority is highly valuable. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years post-qualification experience in a reporting/technical finance role. Prior experience in report writing and exposure to Yardi or Workiva systems will be advantageous. In addition to strong problem-solving and communication skills, a natural curiosity, willingness to take initiative and learn will see you thrive in this role.
