Job Description:

As a Finance and Accounts Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to handle various tasks including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in preparing invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Home building contract preparation.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• GST/Payroll tax preparation and lodgement.
• Assist with payroll and employee file maintenance on occasion.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Support the finance team in various administrative tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
• Proficiency with MYOB accounting software is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling employee and financial information
