Job Description:
As a Finance and Accounts Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to handle various tasks including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in preparing invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Home building contract preparation.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- GST/Payroll tax preparation and lodgement.
- Assist with payroll and employee file maintenance on occasion.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Support the finance team in various administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
- Proficiency with MYOB accounting software is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling employee and financial information
