Base salary of $93,592 - $106,297

Take responsibility for full financial support of the natural disasters team
Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Business Partner to join the team. The successful candidate will work closely with the natural disasters team and will be responsible for providing financial support for disaster recovery projects within the region.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Disaster Management Team through development of a framework and processes for financial services.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Prepare financial reports and provide analysis to relevant stakeholders.
Manage and optimise the use of grant funds.
Provide accurate and timely finance advice for internal stakeholders as required.
Work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure consistency of financial management practices.
Ensure financial functions are aligned with financial regulations and standards and the council's policies and procedures.
About the Person
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar related discipline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
Local government experience preferred.
