Finance Controller

Our current finance support model needs strengthening, and we’re committed to enhancing our finance back-office capabilities to support our local team’s day-to-day operations.

As the Finance Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial excellence, compliance, and transparency as well as collaborate closely with the Australia Management team and lead critical financial processes. If you’re ready to make an impact, read on!

In this role, you´ll have the opportunity to;

You´ll be leading the local financial compliance framework, and improvement hereof, to ensure compliance controls and findings are accurately performed and timely resolved including implementation of finance policies. You´ll also supporting implementation of the future Financial Steering Model, ERP upgrade and other digital transformation initiatives.

Besides the above-mentioned areas, your responsibilities, amongst others, also includes:

Accounting Accuracy and Transparency: Implement and maintain standard legal entity accounting and controlling processes aligned with accounting principles and our group finance handbook.
Monthly Finance Closing: Lead the monthly closing procedure to ensure timely and accurate reporting both locally and to the group.
Strategic Insights: Provide valuable analytics and insights to management, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
Financial Compliance: Strengthen our local financial compliance framework, ensuring controls are performed accurately and findings are promptly resolved. Implement and enforce finance policies.

Do you thrive in a dynamic environment, are used to work independently while at the same time embracing teamwork?
As a person we believe you have excellent communication skills with a humble personality that goes well across the organization. You have the ability to guide and challenge multiple stakeholders including conveying financial information to non-finance associates as well as strong analytical skills. To succeed in the role, you´ll probably have +10 years proven general accountant and financial controlling experience from a smaller company (less than 50 employees), preferably a subsidiary of an international group.
 

Besides the above we believe you have: 

• Solid understanding of end-to-end finance reporting processes and procedure as well as master data management
• Continuous improvement mindset with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while at the same time embracing teamwork, also in a virtual context
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and related internal control and compliance frameworks

Formal qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and a problem solver.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP B1 or SAP preferred).
