Finance Manager

The company:
Are you a skilled finance professional exploring exciting but part-time opportunities, or simply returning to the workplace?  A rising tech business is seeking a dedicated Finance Lead to join their team in this newly created role. This position is a permanent part-time position for circa 20 hours per week, in a structure that suits you.

The role:
As Finance Manager in a stand alone role, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing all financial aspects of our operations. The role covers all aspects of finance, so you will be responsible for AP/AR, payroll at one end of the scale, and you'll also support the CEO with driving financial planning and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a successful start-up business that has secured substantial funding and your role is to help the transition into the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• All transactional finance, payroll (c.10) and bookkeeping (via Xero)
• Support around pricing and tenders, as well as  and business planning support for the CEO
• Budgetting and forecasting support as well as cashflow management
• Ad hoc projects as the company grows.

Experience:

• Tangible experience influencing and financial stewardship within a small business
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This role would suit somebody returning to the workforce (looking for a friendly all rounder role close to home that is more than pure bookkeeping), or someone wanting to reduce their hours whilst still being involved in something exciting.
